Reflecting on the Season – Multispares Truck Parts Recap
Ryan Hansford has finished 2nd overall and 1st in the Pro Masters class in this years Touring Car Masters Championship.
Heading into the final round in South Australia at The Bend, Ryan was in 3rd place. Winning the championship was always going to be a long shot, as it required the leader to suffer a DNF.
The goal was to secure 2nd place overall. After qualifying 4th and racing his way to 2nd, a very slim chance emerged when the series leader finished 6th and Jamie Tilley had a DNF, which gave Ryan 2nd in the series with a healthy points margin over Tilley.
In Races 2 and 3, Ryan gave it 110%. However, despite plenty of pushing and shoving, he couldn’t secure the wins. In the end, Adam Garwood clinched the championship with one race to spare. After winning the championship in 2022, Ryan’s 2nd place this year marks the third time he has finished 2nd outright, in addition to two 2nd place finishes in the Pro Am class.
With only six rounds in the series, consistency is key to winning a championship. Unfortunately, Ryan’s points haul was significantly impacted by car issues in both Darwin and Sandown, where he finished outside the top 15.
Ryan wrapped up the season with:
- 3 race wins
- 4 podium finishes
- 1 pole position
- 3 fastest laps
The 2024 season was the first in three years where all but one round ran alongside the Supercars, and the TCM drivers delivered some of the best and closest racing in recent memory.
2025 Confirmed Rounds
Looking ahead to 2025, TCM has already confirmed six rounds with the Supercars,with the possibility of a seventh later in the year.
The confirmed rounds are:
- Sydney Motorsport Park – 21–23 February
- Symmons Plains (TAS) – 9–11 May
- Hidden Valley (NT) – 20–22 June
- The Bend (SA) – 12–14 September
- Bathurst 1000 – 9–12 October
- Sandown (VIC) – 14–16 November
